'The Great Tempter'

MBC Wall Street drama 'The Great Tempter' finally came to an end. Udo Bun, Joey, Moon Geul Young, Kim Min Jae, and others, but the result was more terrible than imagined. 

The "Great Tempter" has experienced a steady decline in ratings since its launch on March 12 with ratings of 3.6% and 3.4% (Nielsen Korea, nationwide). Eventually, on April 3, the 2% audience rating collapsed, resulting in a low audience rating of 1%. 

But the 'great tempter' was also the first to receive the expectations of the broadcasters. Woo Do-hwan, who showed an attractive performance in 'Mad Dog', and Joe (Park Soo-young), a member of Red Velvet, Kim Min-Jae and Moon Ge-young, attracted attention. 

Actually, after the broadcast, the role of the four-man rookie, who expresses the complex color of the characters and the complex psychology of the characters, was more than expected. However, in the drama that will be broadcast in 2018, the somewhat unfolding of the drama and the outrage of all the clichés have brought out the audience. 

In addition, there was a lack of explanation about why Kwon Sihyun, who was played by Woo Do-hwan, started the temptation game and why his relationship with Tae Hee (Park Soo-young) Also, these two people 's love line was not solid, and it was really messing with the complicated affectional fronts of the parents' generation including Moon Geul Young and Kim Min Jae.

here were many stories and things I wanted to show. And confirmed the possibility of four protagonists. It is a delay that can wait as long as there is room for improvement in the future. Nevertheless, in their careers, the 'great tempter' will inevitably leave a dark afterimage. 

A broadcast official commented, "The 'great tempter' is a product of preparation. When creating a drama, we have to constantly discuss how to solve a story as well as casting, which was always lacking. Actors, PDs and writers also seem to be left with a big scar on the failure of "the Great tempter."

At the time of the production of this work, Woo Do-hwan said, "It will be a good drama in the spring." However, the failure of this work was not due to seasonality. If it was broadcast in summer or winter, it would not be a better performance. 

It was not a work that viewers living in the 21st century and 2018 wanted. I wonder if such a stereotypical drama could have been born with such fresh faces such as Woo Do-hwan, Park Soo-young, Moon Ge-young, and Kim Min-Jae. 

If the dish made by gathering a lot of good ingredients was surprisingly below expectation, should I blame it on the material? You have to blame the cook. The correct answer to this question is that we already know so well that it is sad.
