The late Choi Jin Shil’s children make an appearance on ‘Qualifications of Men’

Back in 2008, the alleged suicide of high-profile actressChoi Jin Shilmade headlines in Korea as it exposed a part of South Korea’s entertainment industry and some of its darker side. Years later, her children –Hwan HeeandJun Hee- made an appearance on the latest episode of ‘Qualifications of Men‘, where they auditioned for the show’s long-term project, the ‘Family Choir’.

“They wanted to participate, not because they’re good, but because they like it [singing]. Jun Hee, who wants to be a singer, was especially motivated,”said their grandmother,Jung Ok Soon.

As the two children stepped on stage, they revealed why they had come.“We wanted to sing,”they said.“My dream is to be a celebrity, and Jun Hee wants to be a singer,”Hwan Hee said.

For their auditions,  Hwan Hee sang a song his mother used to sing to him at night,“Island Home Baby“, while Jun Hee sang“Fairy Tale in Heaven“.Then, to honor their mother’s birthday, they sang together“Blessings for Christmastime“,leaving not a single dry eye in the studio.
