[Spoiler] Yang Hyun Suk uses his ‘wild card’ on ‘K-Pop Star 2′

ContestantSong Ha Yaemade a miraculous revival on the latest episode of ‘K-Pop Star 2‘.

Although she had made it to the finals on another competition program before (jTBC‘s ‘Made in U‘), she found herself alone in the search for an entertainment company, which led her to apply again for this program.“The other members went into companies and left me alone,”she explained.“To follow my dream of being a singer, I tried out for ‘K-Pop Star’.”

However, after performing a rendition ofIU‘s “Peach“, the judges had harsh words for her performance.YG Entertainment‘sYang Hyun Suksaid,“You have a weird habit. You always exhale after singing a lyric.”

“For me, the foremost quality in a contestant is if I am interested in hearing more of his or her songs,”BoAsaid.“I’m can’t feel that here.”

It seemed that her elimination was certain, but she was held back by one judge.“I’m going to be stubborn,”Yang Hyun Suk said, just as she was about to leave the stage in tears.“If you fix your bad habits, I think you have potential. So I’m going to give you a chance.”

He then gave her his ‘wild card’, which he could give to a contestant who had otherwise failed the first round as a chance for them to prove themselves.

“When she overcomes her problems, I want to show her to both of the judges, as well as everyone who dreams of being a singer,”he later said in an interview.
