South Korean R&B singer Ms. Jung Yuri ( in Korean) held a gala concert at the Riverside Hotel on Oct. 3, 2012 to launch a showcase on the Healing Collaboration program.

The gala concert was attended by distinguished guests, artistes, local singers and entertainers, and foreign envoys serving in Seoul.

Amongst the foreign diplomats who graced the event included 1st Secretary Syed Nasir Ershad of the Bangaldesh Embassy in Seoul and his family, Minister Counsellor Ernesto Torres Pereyra of the Dominican Republic Embassy in Seoul, 1st Counsellor Thomas Schroder of the German Embassy in Seoul, Kenyan Ambassador Ngovi Kitau, Malaysian Ambassador Dato Ramlan Ibrahim, and Counsellor Raoul Imbach of the Swiss Embassy in Seoul.

Korea's renowned emcee and singer Mr.Hong Kyung-minalso acted as the emcee at the concert and comedian Mr. Jeong Jong-Chul further entertained the crowd with his beat-boxing skills.

The collaboration was initiated to introduce K-pop culture while promoting the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Yuri has partnered with health trainer Mr. Sean Lee in this collaboration effort to choreograph the body movements for their debut song You Can Do It.

You Can Do It consisted of a rhythmic mix of lively and vibrant K-pop music, coordinated with simple body movement exercises and dance steps which make it easy for anyone to learn.

K-pop lovers can now not only enjoy the music but also dance according to the songs while doing these work-out exercises.

We hope that Korean-pop culture will not be an end but a starting point in other countries to lead and influence its people, Yuri said of her vision to spread the influences of K-pop culture abroad.

Yuri, a health advocate subsequently revealed her weekly exercising regime included mountain climbing, going to the gym, as well as playing tennis.

Yuri debuted in 2001 with the album entitled Just like R&B. She uses the stage name AB and has previously partnered with well-known artistes such as MC Sniper, Stony Skunk and Honey Family.

In 2000, she entered the Cyber Music Festival as a contestant and was recognized instantly for her unique voice. She subsequently performed R&B music and also composed her own songs.

Some of the albums she produced included Just Like R&B, and The Ring of Diamond. Other singles she released included Doh Doh and From December.
