Singer Hong Jong Myung passes away

Popular OST singerHong Jong Myunghas passed away. He was 46.

The artist, who passed away due to complications from a brain hemorrhage, sang the soundtrack themes for many famous television dramas in the 1990s, such as 1997′s ‘Beautiful Her‘ starringLee Byung Hunand 1999′s ‘Happy Together‘ with Lee Byung Hun andJun Ji Hyun.

One of his most famous tracks was “Loving Only Once“, the main theme for 1998′s ‘Barefoot Romance’ featuringBae Yong JoonandGo So Young.

He also published several solo albums, the latest of which was released in 2009 and titled “Restart“. Hong Jong Myung was also a professor at theSeoul University of the Artsfor many years.

In accordance to his wishes, his organs will be donated to those in need. May he rest in peace.
