Sechskies’s Kang Sung Hoon sentenced to 2.5 years in prison for fraud
Kang Sung Hoon, of ’90s idol groupSechskies,who had been accused ofmultiple accounts of fraudwas sentenced to 2.5 years in prison on the 13th.
The Seoul District Court gave their verdict on the 13th and stated,“Although the defendant claimed that he had no intention of scamming the victims of their money, he never repaid the damages and thus, was found guilty. We have sentenced him to 2.5 years in prison.”Upon hearing the verdict, Kang Sung Hoon bowed his head and was sent off by a court official.
Since 2009, Kang Sung Hoon has been accused of swindling three people of a total of 900 million won (~$827,948 USD). Although he showed signs of wanting to do right and pay back the individuals and was even released on bail in September of last year, he did not follow through and has now been sentenced.
