[ASKKPOP] Psy & Super Junior nominated for 2012 MTV Europe Music Awards
BothPsyandSuper Juniorhave been nominated for2012 MTV Europe Music Awards! It looks like Asian music is being more and more recognized everyday.
Psy's "Gangnam Style" fever shows no signs of letting up. He is nominated for arguably the biggest category of the night, "Best Video". He will go head-to-head with the mega-stars of the moment,Katy Perry,Lady Gaga,M.I.A, andRihanna. This is a tremendous achievement, aside from being the only male in the Best Video category, "Gangnam Style" is the only non-English song in the running.
Upon hearing about the nomination Psy tweeted:

Super Junior is nominated under the "Best Asian Act" category. Recall thatBig Bangwas nominated under the "World Wide Act Asia Pacific Nominees" category eventually winning 'Best Worldwide Act' at last year's awards.
The winner of the 'Best Asian Act' category will represent Asia in the "Best Worldwide Act" voting. The other nominated Asian acts include, Japan'sEXILE, China'sHangeng(a former member of Super Junior), Taiwan'sJolin Tsai, and Malaysia'sYuna.

The 2012 MTV EMA's will take place at the Festhalle in Frankfurt, Germany, on Sunday November 11th.
