'Jeon Woochi - Drama' proves to be a success on first run

KBS2 drama "Jeon Woochi - Drama"

The new KBS2 midweek drama "Jeon Woochi - Drama" is proving to be a hit after just one episode.

On Nov. 21, the debut episode secured ratings of 14.9 percent, making it the No. 1 program in its time slot.

AGB Nielsen Media said on the following day that other shows that trailed the period drama were:"Missing You"(10.2%) and "The Great Seer" (6.9%).

The new drama starsCha Tae-hyeonas well as After School'sUEEand is a fantasy folktale set during the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910).

In 2009, a film adaptation of the myth starringKang Dong-wonandIm Soo-jeongwas a big hit at the Korean box office.
