[ASKKPOP] 'Dad! Where Are You Going' to take a 6 month to 1 year hiatus before returning with new season

Representatives of MBC commented, "The show 'Dad! Where Are You Going' will be taking a break instead of being canceled. For about six months to a year, the show will go on a resting phase. And after reformatting the show, it will make a come back with a new season."

The first season of 'Dad! Where Are You Going' kicked off strong and soon became one of the most popular Sunday variety programs. However, with some cast changes and format changes, the current season has been experiencing some lackluster results. As the show has carried a special message to viewers who watched bonds form between the father and their children, the broadcast station decided that it should not be canceled but rather given another chance.

For the program that will be airing in place of 'Dad! Where Are You Going', Directors Kim Hyun Chul, and Jae Young Jeh are reportedly planning a variety show where cast members will take care of different kinds of pets. However, nothing has yet been confirmed.
