CODE-V’s Jaewon to leave the group
CODE-V‘sJaewonwill be leaving the group.
The group debuted in 2010 and had been active in both Korea and Japan initially until they started focusing mainly on promotions in Japan.
Recently, Jaewon’s ex-girlfriend wrote a post exposing the idol’s personal life including becoming pregnant by him, lending him money, and the insults he’d say about Japan and his own fans, and backing up her claims by posting pictures of them together.
The situation went by relatively unnoticed in Korea as the group is not very active domestically, but caused disappointment and backlash from the fans in Japan who had supported the group. After some silence, it has been announced that Jaewon will be leaving the group.
CODE-V’s Korean fancafe wrote, “We do not know if you have heard news about CODE-V because they have no Korean promotions. We are disappointed that the first news we write in a while is bad news. Maknae Jaewon, who had joined as a member ofBless[the group re-debuted as CODE-V later] in March 2008, will be leaving CODE-V on March 28th, 2013. Member Jaewon had been with us for 6 years. Even though it is disappointing, please support the decision, as we have come to it after much thought. Please continue to support the rest of the members.”
Ahead of the Korean fancafe post, Jaewon had personally written on his Japanese management’s site his apology and announced his leave.
He said,“I sincerely apologize for causing worry and harm to many of you… Regarding this incident, I will take responsibility and leave CODE-V for causing harm to the all the fans, reps, CODE-V members, and staff. In the past 6 years, the time period I was most loved as an artist was during the 1 year and 4 months we started promoting in Japan. I will not forget my foolish self and actions even in the future so that I may reflect and try to live as a more mature person. I want to say that I’m sincerely grateful. I hope that CODE-V can continue to sing songs that will give all of you hope and courage.”
