Biography
Oliver "Power" Grant is an American entrepreneur, producer, and actor. He is credited as creating the hip hop group, Wu-Tang Clan. As Executive Producer of all Wu-Tang Clan albums solo and collective, Power helped brand “Wu-Tang” and the Wu-Tang brand Wu-Tang clothing company. He is the original founder and CEO of Wu Wear clothing and stores. Grant produced, developed and released Wu-Tang: Shaolin Style, the PlayStation video game with Activision in 1999. Grant had roles in such motion pictures as the character "Knowledge" in the urban film Belly, directed by Hype Williams, which grossed over $9.7 million domestically before hitting DVD and TV. In addition, he played the role of "Rich Bower" in writer/director James Toback’s Black and White, which also starred Ben Stiller, Robert Downey Jr., Brooke Shields, Elijah Wood, Mike Tyson, and several others. He was also a producer and music supervisor of the film. He would team up again with Toback as actor and composer for When Will I Be Loved, starring Neve Campbell. He also had the leading role and was a producer on the feature film Coalition. He has a co-starring role in talk show host and former nationally syndicated shock jock Wendy Williams’ life story Queen of Media as her husband Big Kev. Grant has negotiated several deals for products ranging from music to clothing endorsements. He recently acted as executive producer on the Wu-Tang Clan’s reunion album 8 Diagrams.
