Weekly Recap - Comebacks & Love Is In The Air
Compared to all the stirringK-pop drama of last week, things have been looking relatively mild lately. Because nothing is more toe-curling and sweat-inducing than throwing together a couple of pending comebacks, MV releases, and romantic rendezvous into the mix.
K-pop is gearing up its arsenal with a string of imminent comebacks set for July.
Ailee becomes a dancing diva in MV Teaser for "U&I"
When it comes to vocals in K-pop as of late, I earnestly think Ailee easily snatches the number one position. She'll be coming back with her 2nd mini album'A's Doll House'this month, and we can probably expect her stunning power chords to keep her in our attention range with all these other artists gearing up for their own comebacks.
Jay Park teases with video clip for "I Like 2 Party"
Jay Park will be dropping his upcoming digital single album 'I Like 2 Party' on the 10th! Apparently, most of the songs were written and/or composed by Jay Park himself, which is impressive, considering the title track was picked up as the ending theme song forWillandJaden Smith's film, 'After Earth'during its theatrical run in Korea.
Girl group Stellar to return after a year with a digital single
I'm sorry, who? ...Stellar?
Just Kidding of course. This four-member girl group debuted back in 2011 under the tutelage ofShinhwa'sEric, but they kind of - for the lack of a better word - flopped... badly. They garnered meager interest at best and disappeared from the scene for a year. But they're set to return on the 11th with a loaded team backing them up, includingSweetuneandYama & Hot Chicks. These are respected names in the industry so we'll wait a couple of more days to see a different side (or any side, hopefully) to these girls.
2NE1 to have you "Falling in Love" with second teaser photo
The fearsome foursome is coming back with a comeback on 'Inkigayo' on the 7th KST and their single release on the 8th. 2NE1 has always been a force to be reckoned with given how singular they are with their looks and sound. I'm nearly positive this comeback won't be subpar and will live up to what we expect of them.
Yang Hyun Sukmentioned that the song will have a heavy reggae influence. As long as they don't overdose on theBob Marley, I'm sure their comeback willeasilybecome a summer staple.
Brown Eyed Girls are less than a week away from their comeback!
Speaking of fearsome foursomes, the Brown Eyed girls are coming back on the 9th, according toNarshaandJeAand the group's Twitter. And if it's been announced via Twitter, youknow it's official. These ladies have set a pretty high standard for themselves with the iconic 'Abracadabra' holier-than-thou hip swag. Granted, they are veterans when it comes to taking the stage and setting themselves apart from the K-pop wave, so we'll have to see what badass concept they come back with this time around.

After it was revealed that Lee Hyori will be marrying her boyfriend of three years in September, I swear boys were posting the news on each other's wall or tweeting the news in mourning.
But what's true is true: the queen of all that is K-pop is indeed being swept off her feet and carried across the threshold by this swell gentleman:

The agency of both actors,Eden 9, revealed, in what has to be the shortest official statements with regards to all that is K-pop,"Since Won Bon and Lee Na Young are part of the same agency, they ran into each other frequently due to projects and advertisements, so they started to naturally develop feelings and recently progressed into an intimate relationship. The two are at a cautious beginning stage, so please watch over them with affection."
