'The Merchant: Gaekju 2015' Jang Hyeok rejects the inkeeper position with Songpa merchant inn

On the 6th episode of KBS 2TV's Wednesday & Thursday drama, although Bong-sam (Jang Hyeok) was appointed as the head of Songpa Cattle Inn, he rejected the position. Kim Hak-joon (Kim Hak-cheol) went to the party celebrating their sales of 10 thousand cattle and he called Bong-sam as the second head of the Sonpa Inn, instead of Man-chi (Park Sang-myeon).

Man-chi became furious to find he was not the second inkeeper and started beating Bong-sam.

Man-chi later asked Seong-joon (Kim Myeong-soo) who was the second inkeeper of the inn. Seong-joon opened up, "I didn't want to reveal it this way, but Man-chi, the second inkeepr of Songpa Inn is Bong-sam". This made Man-chi even more upset. However Bong-sam said, "I've never said I wanted to become an innkeeper. I don't want to become an innkeeper or anything like that".

Bong-sam continued on, "Do you know what becoming innkeeper means? You have to support everyone from head to toe. It means the mouths relying on me are hundreds. It's that scary. If you want to become an innkeeper, you have to put your neck on the line" and "I know how my father died. I don't want such a terrible position. I don't want to put my precious neck on the line for this miserable Songpa Inn. Try to kill me for it. I still reject". And then he left the spot.
