International Kiss Day - Memorable Kisses

"Finally, today's the day. International Kissing Day '13, holla. Step aside, world, my lips are ready," ...said no one ever.

I'm sorry, that was quite cynical harsh. But here's to sincerely wishing you guys an extraordinary International Kissing Day! Like all holidays worth their weight, this one has a backstory (albeit anticlimactic) as to how it all began: legend has it a dental insurance company in the UK spawned the idea. The origins are shadowy - nobody knows or remembers the name of the company, let alone how it marketed the idea. Though it's a mystery, it's fair to say International Kissing Day is undoubtedly the company'sonly greatest achievement.

How that story relates back to K-pop, you tell me. Please, humor us.

To honor the spirit of this holiday, we've picked out some of the best mouth-to-mouth K-pop kisses from on stage performances, variety shows, and dramas (because everyone knows kissing is that much better when a director yells out which direction your head should be tilting toward and how long the kiss should linger).

Oh, and also, these kisses aren't in any particular order so please don't get your panties in a bunch.

Enjoy, guys. And happy smooching!

1)Leeteuk&Kang Sora

Leeteuk and Kang Sora's kiss occurs at the end of their on-air marriage on 'We Got Married'. It's the kiss they've held off for an entire year, and perhaps that's exactly what makes this good-bye kiss so heartfelt.

2)Taeyang&IU

Here, IU demonstrates exemplary fan-girling at it's finest: visible hand-shaking, frenzied air-punching, delusional gibberish-speaking - the works. She gave Taeyang a peck on his cheek when she made a guest appearance in his "I Need a Girl" performance, after which she skipped off-stage in a fit of hysteria. I swear it's like she's one of us.

3)Jang Geun Suk&YoonA

This kiss has some kind of transformative charm wrapped about itself. It starts off technical - like they're making a deal."Ok, I'm going to kiss you now, but you can back out of the agreement in the allotted time frame. If not, I'll take it that you consent to my kissing you."How so very romantic.

Thankfully it gets better.

4)T.O.P &Lee Hyori

It feels like this happened so long ago, when really, it'sonlybeen five years. In hindsight, I'm coming to terms with how staged and deliberately tailored the kiss actually was. That's not to say that these two don't put on a good show. They absolutely do, as proven by how much nostalgic value the kiss has.

5)Kim Soo Hyun&Suzy

How awkward would it have been if that bus had started to move? Or if Suzy had been considerably shorter? One can only imagine, but I'd be willing to bet the struggle would have been very real.

6)Joo Won&UEE

The man just won't give up, but I  do respect his perseverance. Besides, the chemistry between them and the way they look together on screen is almost too good to be true. I have to wonder, though, do kisses usually last that long? How do they breath? Regrettably, I don't have a higher education degree in the art of kissing, so somebody please enlighten me.

7)Jo Kwon&Ga In

This marriage is dysfunctional to a point where everything actually seems to come together. Although our beloved "Adam Couple" exudes so much sass and attitude, the various kisses between these two divas were surprisingly quite sweet and unguarded.

8)Hyunseung&HyunA

Though these twoTroublemakers have revealed that they did not actually kiss during this live performance, I'd like to believe otherwise. It simply looks too real.

9) Nichkhun&Minho

K-pop without inadvertent mouth-to-mouth contact between guys? Unheard of. To be fair, I wouldn't call this a steamy, tongue-down-throat kiss. It was just a slight brushing of the upper lip while they were playing what seems to bethe best game ever mouth soccer.

10)Heechul&Sungmin

Super Juniormembers tend to be more cognizant of some of the fan-fiction and ships floating above their heads. But the way they respond to such fantasies with fan service is perhaps what makes them and keeps them so relevant throughout the years.

Many SONE fanboys were quite upset.

Even the 2PM membersthought this scenewas "insane".
