Clarification on COOL member Yuri’s “False Death”

The victim, who is also actorGong Hyung Jin‘s sister in law, was at the bar withROO’RAmemberChaerinaand three other men. Although Chaerina was able to escape from harm, the three men also suffered injuries. One of the three men was pro baseball playerPark Yong Geun, who is currently in critical condition at a hospital.

The attack occurred at around 2:05 in the morning of the 17th in Shinsadong, Seoul. The argument started when the attacker, who had first just been at an adjacent table, asked the victims’ table to quiet down. According to Chaerina’s representative, “The argument was calmed down inside the bar after an apology. Everyone thought it was over, but the attacker suddenly came with a knife and stabbed people.” The attacker had reportedly brought a knife from his car, and his attack caused about 10 customers to flee immediately.

The police stated, “The assaulter stabbed the 3 men. Then, while he was fleeing the bar, Kim Sung Soo’s ex wifechased after him and was attacked on the streets.” It is reported that the victim died on the way to the hospital.

Gong Hyun Jin was the one to prepare the wake for his sister-in-law, and ex-husband Kim Sung Soo is currently the chief mourner.
