[ASKKPOP] Actress, actor, and director speak up about the alleged sexual harassment during movie filming

If you remember, it was previously reported that a female actresshad filed a report with the policeagainst a male actor, whom she claimed was sexually harassed by during the filming. The actress insisted that the actor went way overboard with his ad-lib acting that wasn't in the script during a scene in which a drunken husband returns home and assaults his wife.

Because the identity of the parties involved were kept anonymous, netizens started to make guesses about who these actors could be, and some started to say that actorKim Bo Sungwas the male actor involved. Kim Bo Sungimmediately denied the matter, and the female actress has also now spoken up to confirm that it was definitely not Kim Bo Sung.

On July 13, the actress, hereon identified as 'A,' told Sports Joseon, "Kim Bo Sunghad nothing to do with this particular incident but he wrongfully suffered from the rumors. The male actor in question, 'B,' dropped out of filming and another actor replaced him," explaining the changes that have occurred on set due to this incident.

During the interview, it was pointed out that maybe 'A' wasn't able to tell the difference between sexual harassment and acting. However, 'A' firmly asserted that she was indeed sexually harassed, stating, "I was sexually harassed. Despite being the victim, I have actually been attacked as the one at fault."

She also explained that earlier reports were inaccurate and that 'B' had not simply undone a few buttons on her top, but rather ripped her shirt open.

She stated, "I wouldn't declare it sexual harassed just because a couple buttons popped off. At the time I wasn't wearing a shirt with buttons, but a white t-shirt. We entered filming after agreeing that [B] would slightly pull my shirt which would expose the drawn-on bruise on my shoulder. But once the cameras started rolling, he tore off my shirt and my bra. 'B' harassed me so aggressively that I even suffered wounds on my body. He even tried to pull my pants off and tried to lay his hands on my lower body."

When the interviewer brought up the issue of how sexual harassment of such degree was possible with all the people on set watching, 'A' replied, "The director and the assistant were both looking at the camera lens so they didn't see what occurred off camera."

When the director was interviewed separately about the incident, he commented,"It's a matter that only the two know. It's what I also said at the police questioning. The space where we filmed was small so only the camera director was there and the other staff members were in a different room watching through a monitor. Since there was only 10 minutes left until our rental of the set location was over, we had hurriedly shot one cut, and because that scene was mostly a close up of the faces, it's hard to tell what exactly happened just by that. If it were up to me, I just want to just open[reveal] the footage from the filming  [to the public]."

Actor 'B' also spoke out through his lawyers, who insisted that there are false accusations being made."There are many aspects that are not true. He feels wronged by the accusations. There is definitely a factor that each individual interprets the roles and scripts differently."

Actress 'A' is also currently demanding a sincere apology from 'B' for causing her mental distress.

Meanwhile, Kim Bo Sung expressed the injustice on being involved in a case he had no part of. He stated, "It's really unfair. I was friends with the director so I appeared on the movie out of loyalty, and I even donated in full because the production environment was poor but now I feel distressed because something like this has happened."
