Biography

Rangga Djoned (born Aditya Rangga Prabawa, April 18th, 1980) is an Indonesian actor. He started his acting career by being an extra in Joko Anwar's film Janji Joni (2005). He starred in several TV commercials such as Sampoerna Hijau, Indovision and smartphone ads. Rangga also played in FTVs, such as Pejuang Cinta (Starvision) as a supporting cast and Main Api Sampai Mati (Starvision). His next film role was in the movie Aku Perempuan, directed by Robby Ertanto which premiered in JIFFest 2009. Aside from films, Rangga also dabbles in theater - playing in "Key Exchange" by Kevin Wade as Philip, "Dice and Cards" by Sam Henry Kass as Richie, "Soft Dude" by Joe Pintauro as Dude, "Bang-Bang You're Dead" by William Mastresimone, "Indian" by Tennessee Williams as John Grass. In 2010, this Art and Visual Communication Design graduate from Trisakti University got the role in the film 18+ (2010) directed by Nayato Fio Nuala, as Romi. In the same year, he acted in the Break Film & MNC-produced film Seribu Sujud, where he played as Eric. In the television movie "Susuk Barbie" directed by Rudi Aryanto, Rangga played as Gofar (supporting role) that is part of a series in 'SCTV' Sinema 20 Wajah Indonesia, produced by Gisela Citra Sinema production. Another FTV where Rangga had the lead role is Cinta Bukan Reality Show (Rapi Films) by director Peter Suryadi. Not satisfied with the given television jobs, he ventured for a more challenging role in 2010. His role as Bambang, a shuttle prostitute in the film 7 Hati 7 Cinta 7 Wanita (2010) catapulted his name and made him win the Best Newcomer Actor in Indonesian Movie Awards 2011. Then, he acted in Dilema (2011) as Kang Jaja, and Negeri 5 Menara (2012) as Ustad Thorik. In 2012, he played a gay character in the omnibus Sanubari Jakarta (2012), produced by Lola Amaria. This is his first leading role. In 2013, he acted in the film Rectoverso (2013) as Bayu, and Kisah 3 Titik (2013) as Jojo, a charming garment factory worker. In the latter film, he gets the chance to act alongside Lola Amaria, Ririn Ekawati, Lukman Sardi, and Donny Alamsyah.
