Ryu Seung Bum, “Gong Hyo Jin Holds My Life Together”
Actor Ryu Seung Bum expressed his faith and love for long time girlfriend, Gong Hyo Jin. At an interview for his upcoming movie, he said “Gong Hyo Jin is someone who always has the right thing to say and keeps me balanced.”
Ryu Seung Bum acted as an agent of an insurance company and the boyfriend of Seo Ji Hye in his most recent movie. The girlfriend in the movie always gives advice, and just like her, Gong Hyo Jin does not hesitate to do so.
He said “I sometimes get emotional and make mistakes. Whenever my emotions are about to run wild and it’s hard for me to organize things, my girlfriend helps me out. She always gives me advice that helps me prioritize things and helps me figure out my next course of action.”
The two of them seem to have gotten to the point where they accept each other for who they are and they don’t complain about the other’s habits and lifestyle. However, he said that he wants to keep that tension between them as a couple.
He said “I really hate it when people say ‘family-like lover.’ I don’t want a relationship where we continue to be with each other out of sheer friendship. Sure, there is that good meaning that we are comfortable enough to think of each other as family but the fact that we have lost the hot and fierce feelings for each other makes me sad. I want our relationship to remain as one between man and woman. I want me to feel like a man to her and she probably wants to forever be a woman to me.”
Fans have been wondering if they will hear about marriage any time soon since they have been a couple for a long time. He said “whenever I look at my nephews, they are really cute but it only lasts about 2 hours. After that, I want some quiet time of my own. Being a father, I don’t know.”
It seems a lot of thoughts are encircling Ryu Seung Bum. His favorite movies are the ones that leave a lasting question when the movie is over. He said that he remembers all the movies that leave a question no matter what genre it is.
He said “I think that movies are made to ask questions to the world. That’s how it communicates with the viewers. Even if it wasn’t a famous movie, if it aims to communicate something and is serious about doing so, I respected that director, actor and writers.”
