Ahn Jae Wook


Ahn Jae-wook(born 12 September 1971) is a South Korean theatre trained actor , composer and singer.

He spent most of his childhood in his hometown, the district of Donamdong in Seoul , before graduating from Seoul Art College , where he majored in theatre. After graduating in 1994, Ahn Jae Wook later went on to make his debut inThe Song of Blind Bird, a drama that was based on a real-life story. Ahn Jae Wook, then a young man, took up supporting roles in several 1995-96 dramas before taking up a lead role in the 1997 drama,Star In My Heart.He and Choi Ji-woo both had leading roles in the movieFirst Kissin the following year.

Ahn Jae Wook also pursued a career in singing. He composed and sang several songs by making his debut in music on his album,Forever. It was sung as the last song of Kang Min's concert in the ending part ofStar In My Heart, and sold over 700,000 copies. His other main albums includeMemoriesandRed in Ahn Jae-wook.

Ahn performed as male lead Daniel, rotating with Um Ki Joon , Lee Ji-hoon and Sungmin of Super Junior in the musicalJack the Ripperfrom 5 July to 14 August 2011 at the Chungmu Arts Hall . His third time since the musical’s premiere in 2009.For the month of September 2012, Ahn reprise his role of Daniel, with Sungmin , in musicalJack the Ripperat Aoyama Theater in Tokyo, Japan.
