iKON appeared on KBS CoolFM radio show “Soo Hyun’s Raise the Volume,” where they talked about talked about their recent comeback.

iKON had just won “M!Countdown” with “Killing Me” even though they had not attended the music show, and said, “We’re incredibly happy, and we feel like we won No. 1 because we worked ourselves to death, so we’re very thankful.”

When asked about their promise to all do “apple” ponytails (ponytails on the top of the head), iKON protested, saying it was a unilateral decision by B.I. “It’s a ridiculous promise that B.I made on his own. We think he should do all seven ponytails himself.”

This recent comeback was a fast turnover for a YG artist, coming just five months after their previous release. B.I said, “We were surprised about it too. I just want to say it’s something good that came out of the fact that I have no hobbies other than making music.”

With the success of “Killing Me,” iKON has grown closer with YG head Yang Hyun Suk. When asked about their new group chat with Yang Hyun Suk, iKON said, “We’ve always had a group chat, but the frequency of messages has gone up and the nature of the conversation has become really relaxed. Yang Hyun Suk jokes a lot.”

iKON, who went through two survival programs, revealed their thoughts on those types of shows. They said, “Survival programs are so cruel. We did it twice. We failed once, and the second program was a similar experience. it’s psychologically exhausting. But at the same time, we gained a lot from it. We’re stronger, and our teamwork is better. There’s nothing to make you improve the way a survival program does. Thinking back, it was fun.”

On how they dealt with the stress of the show, Jinhwan said, “I cried a lot. Tears are really effective. They make you feel better and can relieve stress. So when you’re stressed, you should cry instead of holding it in.”
