There are many popular K-Pop groups these days, so much so that each fandom has their own names. While these fan club names look like nothing more than random words, they all carry some interesting story behind them. We've decided shed some light on the meaning behind some of these names by looking at 10 of K-Pop's biggest fan groups today!

f(x) - MeU

f(x) actually didn't have an official fandom name for a number of years, but as of a few months ago, f(x) fans can now call themselves "MeU", which stands for "me" and "you"! Other than showing the love between f(x) and their fans, "MeU" also represents the mathematical symbol "mu", which relates to the group's name. 

U-KISS - Kiss Me 

This fandom name is a cheeky one: if U-KISS asked "who should I kiss", fans are undoubtedly going to shout back "Kiss Me"! 

Miss A - Say A

Miss A named their fandom "Say A" in hopes that their fans will shout it out at their live performances!

SHINee - SHINee World

This fandom name comes from SHINee's first studio album. Since the name can be a bit of a mouthful, fans also refer to themselves as "Shawols", which is just a shortened version of "SHINee World".

Wonder Girls - Wonderful 

Not only does the "Wonderful" fandom name refer to how wonderful the group's fans are, but also how the fans are "full of wonder" for the Wonder Girls!

2PM - Hottest

2PM's fandom isn't just named because its fans are considered the "hottest"! The name also came about because JPY Entertainment considers 2:00PM to be the hottest time of the day, hence the name "Hottest"!

4Minute - 4NIA

4NIA has a bit of an unusual meaning behind it, as this name came from combining 4Minute to the word "mania". 4Minute + Mania = 4NIA. Makes sense to us now! 

BIGBANG - V.I.P

"V.I.P" stands for "very important person". Given how important fans are to K-Pop groups, it's quite sweet that BIGBANG deems their fandom to all be "very important people"! 

TWICE - Once

The reasoning behind naming TWICE's fandom "Once" is simple and adorable: if fans love the group even once, the girls will repay them with "twice" their love!

BTS - A.R.M.Y 

Not only does "A.R.M.Y" stand for "Adorable Representative M.C for Youth", it carries quite some meaning behind it. Given that "Army" is associated with the military, body armour, and how those two things are always together, the fandom name basically means that fans will always be together with the BTS boys!
