Yang Yoseob Talks About His New Radio DJ Job And How Highlight Splits Their Income

On April 9, Highlight’s Yang Yoseob guested on a segment of the MBC FM4U radio show “Two O’Clock Date Ji Suk Jin.”

During the show he talked about his own radio show, also on MBC FM4U, titled “Yang Yo Seob’s Dreaming Radio.” He said, “When I got the offer to be a DJ, I accepted right away. But after I said okay, I started worrying about it. ‘What if I make a mistake? Can I really do this well?'”

He continued, “The Highlight members found it fascinating that I was going to be a DJ. We’ve done a lot of radio appearances since our time as BEAST, but for a member to be a DJ was different. They supported me a lot, and I think they might appear on my show sometime.”

On the subject of payment within the group, he said, “The income I get from DJing, I will split with my company. For a while now, we’ve changed our system so that we each keep the money from our individual promotions. For example, my income from musicals is also divided only with the company. The members’ individual incomes are pretty similar, and we make much more as Highlight than we do on our own.”
