EXID's Solji "I'll comeback with a perfect body soon"

On the August 15 broadcast of “Solji’s Voice Season 2” on V Live, EXID’s Solji, who will be joining the rest of the members for their upcoming comeback after a long personal hiatus due to health, answered some fan questions.

On younger idols that she’s a big fan of, Solji named Kim Na Young from “Produce 48” and Red Velvet’s Irene.

Asked to share a story from the filming of the “Up & Down” music video, Solji said, “There was a part where we were dancing on sand. We kept getting sand in our shoes, so every time we took a break, our shoes came off so we could get the sand out. It was our first time dancing on heels in the sand, so we wondered if we needed to just dance barefoot.”

EXID’s Hani appeared as a guest, and the two talked about their time promoting as the unit Dasoni.

Solji said, “At the time, our outfit was a qipao (Chinese dress). It was hard to pull off.” Hani added that she felt really awkward wearing it. “When promoting for Dasoni, I had gained a lot of weight. There was a part where Solji was standing behind me, and my body hid hers a bit too well.”

The ending song for the V Live broadcast was EXID’s “Like the Seasons,” and Hani said, “This song makes me tear up every time.”

Hani then asked fans to look for EXID’s full group promotions coming soon. Solji said, “It was a lot of fun [doing this show] for seven weeks. But now it won’t just be my speaking voice that you hear, but my singing voice as well. I was really sorry for making our fans wait for so long, but I’m excited to see everybody again. If you wait just a little bit longer, we’ll be back with a great performance.”
