Aprilrecently sat down in an interview withTen Asiato speak about their concepts and comeback with "Mayday". Check out the interview below!

Q: Back in January,RachelandChaekyungwere added into the group and "April Story" was released, which gained great response.

Jinsol:"There was an instance, when we were on the way to a different schedule where we made a rest stop at a convenience store and we heard 'April Story'playing. We felt very happy. Even at fan meetings our fans have been telling us that the song was catchy and so we felt even more proud. "

Yena:"It's great that we were able to promote as a six member group and receive so much love. I look forward to future promotions and hope that many people can expect great things from us. I think April's aura is getting better and better. I am gaining much hope."

Q: As the oldest and the newest addition to the group, it feels like Chaekyung would uphold a lot of responsibilities.

Chaekyung:"Because I've seen all my members since my trainee days, I didn't feel burdened at becoming the newest addition to April. I was able to join comfortably. I did get to debut various times (laughs), but I feel great that I am now finally part of a permanent group."

Q: There are many fans who are curious about Rachel.

Rachel:"For four years I spent my time in Portland, Oregon learning ballet as well as participating in many dance competitions, even winning some awards."

Chaewon: "She has a unique personality. Even though I've spent years living with her, I still can't grasp the various charms she possesses. She's very cute; even our youngest member, Jinsol, finds Rachel to be cute (laughs)."

Q: The group is so lively, it feels as if the group was originally a six-member group.

Naeun:"We all have different colors, but at the same time have many similarities. If we start talking about one topic there is no end to our discussions. We have fun and play together very well."

Yena:"We have commonalities in our laughs. We all love shopping and eating. There are times when we go about in the streets and just laugh like crazy, that our manager has now gotten used to our random laughing (laughs)."

Q: What kind of song is "Mayday" ?

Chaekyung:"If 'April Story' gave fans a feeble feeling, 'Mayday' gives the opposite feeling. It is a song that encompasses the youth and splash of summer."

Q: Recently, through 'AIFRIL' the group held a fan meeting. How did you feel meeting your Japanese fans? What other countries would you like to visit?

Rachel:"We can't speak Japanese very well, so I was concerned if I would be able to communicate with the fans, but once the fan meeting happened I had a lot of fun. I want to meet them often."

Jinsol:"Rachel had a lot of swag. I hope that I can meet not only Japanese fans, but American fans as well. I hope we have that opportunity."

Q: Until now, you've done a lot of promotional activities, are there any memorable fans?

Naeun:"There was an instance in which we were called to perform five to seven songs for this festival. At the time, it was awhile since we halted promotional activities, but we went on stage, and thought it would be awkward because of our hiatus. After performing about four songs, we were becoming tired, and even the fans who were in the audience noticed. Then all of sudden a fan stood up and shouted, 'If it's tiring, don't perform.' I still remember that day very clearly, and feel sorry that we showed fans a weak side to us, but we are thankful to that fan even to this day."
